The Hand rubbed oil version is for the purist who simply must have it with improved tack times over others and develops a very nice sheen versus a high gloss. It is linseed based but I've added a couple of chemicals to accelerate tack time, penetration and improves the gloss slightly. I don't use dryers in any of my products. Dryers can lead to brittle finishes and at the heart of fine gun making is patience. It builds up slowly but the tack time to the next coat is faster and it levels very quickly.
